"Starea de rezistenta la ger" cum o numeste Tumanov (1), adica starea fiziologica a plantelor capabile de calire, se realizeaza prin procese complexe de pregatire pentru iernat, procese care au loc in protoplasma si vacuola celulei. Prin cercetari anterioare s-a dovedit ca la orzul de toamna se dezvolta slab factorii protoplasmatici ai rezistentei; analiza refractometrica a substantei uscate solubile indica o acumulare a acesteia atat la soiurile de grau cat si la cele de orz (2). Datele care se prezinta in aceasta nota aduc completari celor anterioare (2) cu privire la acumularea glucidelor solubile in celulele orzului de toamna prin procesul de calire.
