Abstract

Cnicus benedictus est recommande dans les maladies du foie, de l'estomac, des voies respiratoires. Les parties aeriennes de la plante (Herba Cardui Benedicti) constituent la matiere premiere vegetale qui contient des substances ameres, de l'huile volatil, des mucilages, des tanins, des phytosterines, des sels mineraux etc. Des recherches de biologie entreprise a l'Univ. Scientif. Agricole Cluj-Napoca, Romania, on a constate que la periode de vegetation a Cnius benedictus est de 146 jours. La teneur en principes actifs est de 0,045 g% flavones totales exprimes en acide cafeique. Chez les variantes studiees la production s'est situe entre les limites de 99,21 q/ha (V2) et 105,11 g/ha (V3) herbe seche/ha.
