In opposition to previous data of the special literature (2) it was found that the chromosome complement in the meristematic cells of Vicia michauxii Spreng. is made up of two pairs of satellited, and five pairs of acrocentric chromosomes; 2n = 14. The individual morphology of the C-mitotic chromosomes of the haploid set is represented in fig. 1.
